

She was born August 6, 1951 in Hannibal, Missouri to Carl and Doris (Burditt) Hilbert.
Linda is survived by her sister, Rebecca (Peter) Grant of Atlanta, Georgia; nephew, Colin Grant of Hampton, Virginia and niece, Fiona Grant of Atlanta, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Linda was a devout believer in Christ, finding solace and strength in her faith; she was a lifelong member of Grace Presbyterian Church.
She was a graduate of Washington Community High School in 1969, where she laid the foundation for a life committed to learning and service. Her thirst for knowledge led her to pursue higher education at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, graduating in 1973 with a Bachelor's degree in teaching.
Driven by her passion for education, Linda embarked on a remarkable career spanning over 40 years in District 50 schools. As a dedicated teacher and reading specialist, she imparted a love for reading and learning to countless students.
In her leisure time, Linda found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a profound love for reading and enjoyed traveling widely in her earlier years.
Above all else, Linda treasured the moments spent surrounded by her beloved family and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, Peoria with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial to follow at Parkview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s name to Grace Presbyterian Church (Missions) or WBNH / Moody Radio Station.
