Peoria - Lois Bernice Markle, 93, of Peoria, passed away at 6:24 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2021 at Unity Point Health - Proctor in Peoria. She was born on October 31, 1927 in Peoria, a daughter of Wayne and Elizabeth Mable (Vicary) Caho. She married Earl Ronald Markle on June 14, 1947 in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Ronald Markle of Peoria, Randy (Ann Marie) Markle of Germantown Hills, Roger (Janice) Markle and Robert (Christina) Markle, both of Mapleton; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Dorothy Sturgis; and one brother, Wayne Caho.
Lois was a caregiver for her father and grandmother at an early age. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Peoria and the Fernwood Fems in West Peoria. She was a former Cub Scouts Den Mother at Pleasant Valley and PTA member at Pleasant Valley. She loved to cook and bake and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Lois's funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. To attend via facebook livestream, please visit www.facebook.com/DavisonFultonWoodland/ on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Her visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. also on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Peoria.
