Loretta Mae Eppy

Peoria – Loretta Mae Eppy, 82, of East Peoria, formerly of Peoria, passed away at 6:21 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2021 at Lakeside Rehabilitation and Healthcare in East Peoria. She was born in Peoria on March 9, 1938 to Erven A. and Ruby Rose (Salzgeber) McWilliams. She married Leo Edward Eppy on April 18, 1960 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1995 in Peoria.

Loretta was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Kevin and Leo; two great-grandchildren, Alexander Michael Reliford Eppy and Ayden Shields.

She is survived by her four children, Leona Eppy of Peoria, Diann (Raul) Contreras of Joliet, Margaret Murphy and Keith Eppy, both of Peoria; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Eppy of Peoria.

Loretta worked for Peoria Patio, the American Legion Post 983 in East Peoria, and Five Points Restaurant in Peoria. She loved to talk on her CB radio, cook, construction work, gardening, seek and find puzzles, and especially spending time with her family.

Loretta’s memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2021 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Pastor Joey Watt will officiate. Her visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday also at the funeral home.
