Lorraine Boyd, born in Illinois and the eldest child of Bennie and Zella Holmes, has passed away at the age of 93. She passed peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in Ormond Beach, Florida, within her memory care community, Paradise Pointe.
Lorraine’s husband, Jim Boyd, preceded her in death. Remaining are her children; Keith (Kathi), Renee (Sott), and Monique (Larry) and one sister, Linda. Lorraine had 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Lorraine was a hairdresser and beauty salon owner, in Illinois, for approximately 30 years and enjoyed having her hair done each week up until her death. Her favorite things to do were shopping and traveling.
Currently, there is no visitation or service scheduled. Lorraine will be entombed at the Resurrection Mausoleum.
