Lucille Marie Bieber

Lucille Marie Bieber, 100, of Morton, Illinois, died Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Fondulac Health Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 9, 1913 in Dunlap, Illinois. She was the daughter of Clarence and Bessie (Barrett) Martzluf. She married Frederick C. Bieber on January 2, 1938 in Peoria, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1993 in Morton, Illinois along with one granddaughter and one great grandson, two brothers and one sister.

Lucille is survived by two sons, Ronald (Carole) Bieber Sr. of Morton, Illinois and Stanley( Shirley) Bieber of Peoria, Illinois. She has four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Lucille has one brother surviving, Earl Martzluf of Edelstein, Illinois.

She had worked many years as a waitress at the Univeristy Club of Peoria and Carson Pirie Scott Company retiring in 1972. She was the Past Matron of Central City Chapter #42 of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Daughters of the Nile Otho Temple #36. Lucille was also the oldest living member of the First English Lutheran Church in Peoria.

Lucille and her husband enjoyed traveling and she was a master gardener around her home. The Family is very appreciative to the Fondulac Heath Care Center Staff and the Harbor Lights Hospice for their wonderful care and attention during Lucille’s illness.

Funeral Services will be Monday, May 13, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Davison Fulton Woodland Chapel. The Rev. Dr. James Lillie will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the chapel on Monday. Burial will be in the Parkview Cemetery in Peoria, Illinois. Memorials may be made to her church.
