He was welcomed into the world by his Momma, Brandi Adams, and his Daddy, John Burnett Jr. However, God decided before his arrival into his parents' arms that his presence in Heaven was much more important.
He arrived weighing 15.3 ounces and was 11.5 inches long at 10:56 p.m. He never got the chance to draw his first breath.
His Nana, Torra'e Burnett, and his great-aunts, Buddah Strouse and Rachel Bridgewater, were present to experience the miracle of his birth.
Lukas had many, many people eager to meet him: his brother, John Burnett III; his sister, Kendra Burnett; his Aunt Renee' Burnett and Uncle Jimmy Brown; his Uncle Chaz Burnett and Aunt Taylor Irons; his Aunt Raelyn Burnett and Uncle Manny Burnett; his Grandpa Gary Adams in Barnwell, S.C; and great-grandparents, Chuck and Ruth Strouse.
He had such a large group of extended family that there are just too many to list. However, his cousin, Jessie Pusey, was one of the many and most special.
Lukas was a very special, gorgeous baby. He looked like both his Momma and Daddy. He had his Momma's nose, lips and ears. He had his Daddy's eyes, forehead and hands. He had the high arch of his Momma on his left foot and the flat arch of his Daddy on his right foot. He was the perfect combination of his parents. He was the most perfect of all angels.
He is welcomed into Heaven by his Grandpa John Burnett Sr., Grandma Debbie Adams and Grandpa Bill Grafelman, a special cousin, Zachary Pusey Jr., and a very special playmate, Logan Womack.
Lukas loved listening to music with his Daddy. He enjoyed listening to his Momma talking to him. The sound of voices brought him great joy. The special nightly massages from his parents were very comforting to him. He was born with a smile on his sweet little face. Had he lived, he would have been great friends and co-conspirators with his cousins, Mason Brown and Corey Burnett, who will arrive later this year. He will be forever greatly missed and always counted as one of God's special blessings! The family does request that when you remember Lukas, you remember him as Lukas, not "the baby," please.
The family has entrusted cremation services to Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel of Peoria. It has also been decided that a very special service honoring Lukas will take place privately for family and friends at a later time.
Condolences may be submitted at www.davison-fulton.com. If so compelled, memorial contributions can be made to the family at 322 N. Amy Drive, Bellevue, IL 61604.
I will not forget you! See. I have engraved you on the palms of My hands. - Isaiah 49:15-16, NIV.
