Mae I. "Jean" Myers

Mae I. “Jean” Myers, age 82, of Peoria, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Grandview in Peoria.
Jean was born on November 22, 1930 in Decatur, Illinois to Joseph Leroy and Marietta (Spitzer) Myers. She is survived by her aunt, Albertine Spitzer-James of Battle Creek, MI; one sister, Eileen McMillan of East Peoria, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Kathleen Russell; and her two brothers, Clyde Raymond Myers and Joseph Leroy Myers.
Jean was the Account Coordinator for NACD Marketing and Caterpillar. She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, the Ski Club, and the Ivy Club, where she enjoyed sailing. Jean also enjoyed painting, traveling and singing with her singing group.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 2pm at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Mike Shirey will be officiating. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
A special thank you goes to Angie Medvesky for the countless hours she spent caring for Jean especially during her last days. Also heart-felt appreciation goes to other family members who spent so many hours caring for her. A sincere thank you goes to Julie Hess and the people at Grand View Alzheimer’s Special care Center for their exceptional tender loving care given to our treasured aunt.

MY CONDOLENCES TO JEAN'S FAMILY. I MET HER IN THE MID-FIFTY'S. I WAS SURPRISED TO SEE SHE NAVER MARRIED. SHE WAS A VERY ATTRACTIVE WOMAN, WITH A PLEASING PERSONALITY.
