Surviving include both parents and four siblings Natalie, Devan, Aubriyonna, and Isabella. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents Teresa (Tuck) Legg & Robert Legg, and paternal grandparents Lee & Patricia Carter-Howard; two maternal aunts, Bobbie & Felicia; one maternal Uncle Casey; three paternal aunts, Shianekia, Latticia, & Tressie; and many cousins.
She is preceded in death by one uncle, Ronnie Allen.
MaLaiya treasured her siblings and was a big Elmo fan.
Cremation rites will be accorded. There will be a visitation on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, 2021 N University St., Peoria, Illinois 61604. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
