Manual Wright Jr.

Manual Wright, Jr., 83, of Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Born in Tippo, MS, on April 25, 1942, he was the son of Manuel and Mary Lou (Taylor) Wright, Sr. In July of 1984, he married Frances Reed. Of Peoria, she survives.

Further surviving Manual are three children, Eddie Kendrick of Indianapolis, IN, Lamont Miller of Peoria, and Deidre Grant (Wright) of Bolingbrook ; two sisters, Eulean Pugh of Bellwood, and Lillian Pegues of Peoria; three brothers, Lewis Wright and Richard (Rosa) Wright, both of Memphis, TN, and Nathaniel (Patricia) Wright of Arlington, TN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Willie James, Jerome, and Thomas Wright; a sister, Eunice Dockery; and two sons, Manual Matthew and Emmanuel Wright.

Manual was employed at Caterpillar for over 30 years and retired in May of 1996. He enjoyed going to the casino, shooting pool, riding his motorcycle, and was an avid bowler.

Visitation will take place on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. with service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery.
