Marcella "Marcey" Sue Flores, 74, of Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on May 23, 1951, in Peoria, a daughter of Orus R. Shrum and Marcella Dot (Winsor) Shrum. Marcey married Felix Flores on April 6, 1985, in Peoria. He survives.
She is also survived by her two children, Chad McLee of Peoria and Amanda Allen of Peoria; four grandchildren, Madison (Daniel) Ornelas of Plainfield, Javion McLee, Shiloh Allen and Janessa McLee all of Peoria; two great-grandchildren, Leo and Melani Ornelas; one sister, Joyce (Dale) Kuykendall of Metamora; and one brother, Jim (Pat) Shrum of East Peoria, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Marcey was a graduate of Woodruff High School.
She was the co-owner and co-operator of Med-I-Claims for 30 years, retiring with her husband in 2024.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Creve Coeur. She loved her family fiercely.
Marcey's memorial service will be at 6:00 pm on Friday, August 1, 2025, at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Rev. Dwight Winnett will officiate. Her memorial visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 PM also on Friday at the funeral chapel. There will be a Celebration of Life at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Landmark on Dries Lane in Peoria.
