Marjorie L. Peplow Samp

Peoria – Marjorie L. Samp, 87, of Peoria, IL passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at O.S.F. Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born April 12, 1926 in Peoria, IL to Herman A. and Esther M. (Folkers) Peplow. She married Jack K. Samp October 15, 1950 in Peoria, IL.

Marjorie attended Bradley University, Browns Business College, and later worked as a loan assistant for Peoples Federal Savings in Peoria. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Peoria.

Surviving are her three daughters: Mary Anne (Michael) Nieukirk of Peoria, IL, Kathleen (Ronald) Surrock of London, England, and Julie Green of Peoria, IL, six grandchildren: Matthew (Corey Spatafore) Nieukirk of Washington, IL, Lauren Surrock of Frankenmuth, MI, Erin Surrock of Baltimore, MD, Jonathan Nieukirk of Peoria, IL, Haley Green of Peoria, IL, and Hanna Green of Peoria, IL, and her great grandson Rex Matthew Nieukirk of Washington, IL. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother Warren Peplow.

Services will held at 11 am Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Peoria, IL. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Lutheran Cemetery.
