She was born October 7, 1936 in Peoria, to James Ward and Anna Jean (Buswell) Sours, both of whom predeceased her. Also preceding her in death was one sister, Louise Taber.
Marge is survived by her two sons, Alan (Carole) Willadsen of Peoria and Tom Willadsen of Omaha, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Ben, Peter, Sam, Hannah and David; two nephews and one niece.
She married Charles Willadsen on August 24, 1958 in Peoria, whom she met at the United Nations while traveling on a college trip. He preceded her in death on October 28, 1964 in Des Plaines, IL. She moved back to Peoria shortly after his death.
Marge graduated from Peoria High School and then attended Albion College where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in History. She worked for Illinois Bell until 1960, then began working for United Federal Savings for a two-week stint during its formation in 1977. Marge stayed in banking with United Federal and its successor organizations until retiring around 2000.
She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School, served on many committees, and was a deacon caring for church members. She was also a member of Delta Zeta and American Association of University Woman. She volunteered over 3,000 hours with Unity Point Methodist and also for Westminster Infant Care Center.
Marge, a life long Cubs fan, celebrated her 80th birthday at Wrigley Field, watching her beloved Chicago Cubs win 1-0 over the San Francisco Giants in the first post season game of their World Championship season.
Marge was fiercely independent, frugal and loved to laugh, but never at someone. Her profound hearing loss did not keep her from listening to and caring for everyone she met. She will be remembered for being compassionate and empathetic, but also for her two favorite sayings, "If it's free, take it." and "Did you learn anything?"
