Mark Duane Bowman, 58, of Lacon passed away on December 28, 2018 at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.

He was born September 16, 1960 to Marcus and Edith (Holt) Bowman in Peoria, IL.

He is survived by one brother Rodney (Heather) Bowman of Lacon, one sister Pat (Bob) Chandler of Peoria; nieces and nephews Bryce (Amber) Bowman, Bonnie Bowman, Heather Bowman, Tanya Bowman, Jenni Deweese, Jayme (Matt) Fields and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Linda Young, and his beloved dog Millie.

Markie lived with Rodney and Heather Bowman since the passing of his mother in June 2009. He was very close to his brother. He loved everyone he met. He liked watching and going to races, drawing, and playing with his cars. He liked watching the Dukes of Hazard, riding his bicycles and fishing.

Funeral service will be Friday January 4, 2018 at 2 P.M. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Mark’s name to National Association for Down Syndrome or the Special Olympics.
