She was born June 21, 1956 in Rock Island, IL to George and Marilyn (Behrens) Briesch. She married Richard Olson on June 25, 1983 in the Quad Cities.
She is survived by her three children,Lisa Knoxville of Chillicothe, Adam (Beatrice) Olson of Oceanside, CA, and Megan (Greg) Farris of Normal; four grandchildren, Merrick, Anakin, Jacob, and Rosalie; dear friend, Everett Blakey of Peoria, and her beloved cat, Boot Scootin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her significant other, Dave Resnik, and her best friend and life partner, Linda Blakey.
Marlene graduated from Augustana College with a degree in Finance and worked in the Financial Departments at Caterpillar Inc. for over 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed flower gardening, dancing, going to garage sales, and enjoyed all kinds of fine cuisine and desserts.
Cremation will be accorded and a celebration of life will be at 4pm on Friday, June 9, 2023 with a visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria.
