Martin was born on October 24, 1958 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Martin Collins, Sr. and Betty (Zochalski) Collins.
Martin served in the United States Air Force for 10 years, having served during Desert Storm. He worked for 40 years as an Operating Engineer and retired in 2017. He loved stargazing and had several telescopes that he would use.
He is survived by his two sons, Andrew Collins of Tallahassee, FL, and William Collins of Westchester, IL; the mother of his children, Susan Jantelezio of Westchester, IL; and two companions, his dog, Riley, and his cat, Persia.
He is preceded by his parents.
