

Mary Ann Herman, 79, of Peoria, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on February 21, 1943 in New Haven, Indiana, a daughter of Edward and Matilda (Metzger) Suttor. Mary Ann married Ronald E. "Ron" Herman on October 26, 1962 in Morton. He preceded her in death on November 28, 2010 in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael Herman; sister, Carol Roth; sister-in-law, Carolyn Suttor.
Mary Ann is survived by her five children, Julie (Terry Poplette) Herman of Orlando, Florida, Ron Herman of Peoria, Amy (Brandon) Carroll of Mapleton, Joshua (Dayna) Herman of Carol Stream, Nicole (Guillaume) Kraft of Nashville, Tennessee; four grandsons, Noah and Seth Herman, and Jackson and Mason Carroll; two brothers, Ed Suttor and Allan (Verla) Suttor, both of Bremen, Indiana; and one sister, Evelyn (Gene) Hangartner of Roanoke.
Mary Ann was currently attending the Peoria Apostolic Christian Church and previously attended Mt. Olive Missionary Church in Peoria. She was actively involved in each church choir and bible studies for years. She was a woman of very strong faith and loved her kids and grandkids more than anything in the world.
She loved attending her grandkids sporting and school events, card club with her beloved girlfriends, she enjoyed fashion and decorating as she had a great eye for style. She was skilled at baking and dessert making. Holiday baking was especially a favorite. Not only was she a beautician by trade, she was also known by family and friends as their kitchen beautician. She loved animals but particularly her precious kitties.
She was a woman of many talents previously serving as a clerical support professional at OSF St. Francis and a home healthcare provider at ACS.
Mary Ann's funeral service will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Peoria Apostolic Christian Church. Church ministers will officiate. Her visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. An additional visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 9:45 am on Wednesday at the church. Burial will take place in Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery near Edwards.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Apostolic Christian Skylines.
