

Peoria, IL – Mary L. Turner, 97, of Peoria, passed away at 7:48 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Liberty Village in Peoria. She was born Dec. 28, 1916 in Peoria County to Fred O. and Wilhelmina (Mitchell) Mosher. She married Marion E. Turner in Peoria on March 1, 1940. He preceded her in death on July 29, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers and 1 sister. Surviving are 3 daughters, Nancy Marshall, Judy Spain, Susan (Mark) Patton; 2 grandchildren, Michael (Michelle) Spain, Jeannie (Shawn) Goldring; 8 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She worked at Multi-Ad and Block & Kuhl in Peoria before retiring. She was a former member of the Mothers Club at Golden Acres School and Woodrow Wilson School. She formerly attended Golden Gardens GARB Church in Peoria. Mary was a breast cancer survivor and lived by herself and up until this year she still planted her own flowers. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 15th at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Further visitation will be one hour before Services Monday at the Chapel. Funeral Services will be at the Chapel on Monday, June 16th at 2 p.m. with Rev. Steve Weber officiating. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
