Merle Bernard Pille

Merle Bernard Pille, 90, passed away at 5:01 am Monday, April 16, 2018 at Manor Court of Peoria.

He was born November 29, 1927 in Peoria, the son of Herman and Lena Uphoff Pille. He married Shirley Rapp on July 14, 1953.

Merle is survived by his ex-wife and partner, Shirley Pille of Peoria; one son, Jeffery Pille of Peoria; two daughters, Michelle Pille and Cynthia Pille both of Peoria; one grandson, Sam Pille of Austin, TX; and one brother, Willis Pille of Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Merle was a Senior Planning Analyst at Caterpillar until his retirement on January 1, 1990. He was a member of St. Peters Lutheran. Merle was also a thirty-eight year member of AA. He was very proud to be thirty-eight years sober. Merle was an Army Veteran.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services also at the chapel. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery with military honors.
