

Michael S. “Korey” Korenchuk,40, of Peoria, Illinois, died Sunday, August 7, 2011 from injuries sustained in a vehicular-motorcycle accident. He was born on May 6, 1971 in Evergreen Park, Illinois. He is the son of Michael P. and Hilary A. (Hagan) Korenchuk. He married Rachel R. Baker on February 11, 2008 in Costa Rica.
He is survived by his parents, Michael P. and Hilary Korenchuk of Lacon. Two daughters, Bella and Jersie Korenchuk at home survive. One sister, Mrs. Krista (Josh) Leifheit, one niece, Kendall Leifheit and one nephew, Torin Leifheit all of Naperville, Illinois survive. He also has several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Korey was a wonderful husband and father, he worked for nine years at J.C. Dillon Inc. in Peoria, last working as a Labor Foreman on Saturday. He was a member of the Laborer’s Union of Peoria and the Loons Motorcycle Club of Wisconsin.
A celebration of life service will be Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Davison Fulton Woolsey Wilton Funeral Home. The Rev. Gavin H. Finefield will officiate. Visitation will be from 4PM until 8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded and inurnment services will be at a later date at the Belle Plains Cemetery in rural Toluca, Illinois.
