Michal E. Wright

He was born on September 9, 1946 in Centerville, Iowa to Clarence and Elma (Cousins) Wright. Elma passed away in 1957 and he was raised majority of his life by his step-mother, Opal. He married Connie Grant on July 31, 1965. They were married for 46 years until her passing. He later married Dianna "Sue" Vanlaningham on March 23, 2013. She preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in death are his parents, Clarence and Opal Wright; daughter, Julie Wright; and brother, Robert "Bob" Wright.

Michal is survived by his son, Chuck (Shay Marliere) Wright of East Peoria; grandchildren, Joshua (Kayleigh), Bryant, Jacob and Breanne; great-grandchildren, Xavier, Mikey, Haven and one on the way; brother, Edward (Debra) Wright; sister-in-law, Orvella Wright; and step-sibling, Jack (Jean) Resor, Phyllis Krull and Pat Kellogg.

Michal worked as a truck driver most of his life for multiple companies including G&D Services until his retirement. He was a previous member of Parkway Christian Church in Pekin. Michal was a hardworking man. He dedicated his life to providing for his family. He also enjoyed camping, bowling and going out on the boat with his family.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at Forrest Hill United Methodist Church on November 9, 2024 at 4pm.
