She was born Feb. 14, 1961 in Peoria to Fred and Agnes (Remmington) Teufel, Jr. She married Michael McCarthy, Sr., Oct. 1989 in Peoria. He passed away March of 2008 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Scott Teufel.
Survivors include her parents of Hanna City, six sons: Edward (Devin) Staley of Canton, Curtis Teufel, Joe McCarthy, Jason McCarthy, Jacob McCarthy, Michael McCarthy, Jr all of Peoria, one step-son, Pat McCarthy of Peoria, one step-daughter, Melissa Renski of Chillicothe, eight grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Terrie Teufel of Peoria, one sister, Micki (Jim) Bush of Peoria, and one brother, Fred Teufel III of Peoria.
Visitation will be Thursday Feb. 5, 2015 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to help cover funeral expenses.
