She was born Feb. 8, 1953 in Peoria to Russell and Lois (Martin) Knoll. She married Peter Dawson on Dec. 4, 1971 in Peoria. He survives along with three children: Chad Dawson of Pekin, Kurtis (Raquel) Sargent of San Diego, CA, Jill (Rick) Hoffman of Peoria, six grandchildren: RiShann, K.J., Genessa, Dawson, C.J., Delaney and two great-granddaughters, Rylee, Ky Lyna. Also surviving are three sisters: Jan (David) Lyons of Peoria, Laurie (Terry) Hibbs of Dunlap, Claire (John) Schinkel of Michigan, one brother, Frank (Ann) Knoll of Chillicothe, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Nancy was a Claims Adjuster for Mutual Medical for the last 40 years.
Nancy was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Peoria. She loved spending time with family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing yard work, gardening, and golfing.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be Friday, Aug. 17, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. A memorial service will be Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Peoria. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church.
Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.
