She was born July 5, 1938, in Sorento, Ill., as one of seven children of James Roy Ingles and Margretta Long. She was raised in Odin, Ill., until she married Dwight Sanders and moved to Peoria, where she raised her three children, Mitchell, Jovena and Cassondra (Joseph) Basso. She then met and married Dwight "Ike" Lovvorn, whom she has been married to for 40 years.
They have spent their adult lives in Peoria, where they raised their five children, who now included Adena and Michael Lovvorn.
She was Salutatorian in high school and always a voracious reader.
She worked for the Centralia Sentinel Newspaper, Saint Francis Hospital under Sister Honorata and eventually at Rohn Manufacturing as an administrative assistant, where she proudly mastered accounting, advertising and multiple business management functions and eventually retired.
Roni Lovvorn was raised in the Assembly of God Church and regularly attended the Northwoods Community Church as a committed Christian.
She always has been able to entertain family and children with her dramatic humor, whether it be reading children's books or playing games such as Rook or pinochle, or simply visiting and having fun.
Norina Veronica Lovvorn was a very generous and hardworking individual with great compassion and loved nothing more than helping people and solving problems for those in need. She made spirited contributions in her travels to all of her family and to strangers, whether visiting the sick or lending a helping hand or just taking pictures and organizing holidays and spreading her own special cheer.
Her "over-the-top" grand personality will be missed by all who knew her and the generations to come.
Norina is survived by her husband and five children, as well as her grandchildren, Brandon Sanders, Ariel Sanders, Trew Basso, Char Whitecotton, Breanna Basso, Landon Whitecotton, Bridgette Basso, Elizabeth Elias-Lovvorn and Joseph "Guy" Basso; her great-grandchild, Vincent Sanders; and her siblings, Clarence Ingle, Burl Ingles, Nigel Wilcoxson and Tom Ingles.
