Born January 31, 1942, in the state of Wisconsin, Norman was the beloved son of Vernon & Goldie Tesch.
During his youth Norman developed a deep passion for music that would remain with him his entire life. Throughout those younger years he traveled with a band and shared that passion wherever the road took them as he learned to play the guitar, bass, keyboard, & even the harmonica. In later years, he developed a deep passion for the Native American flute. It’s beautiful, soulful sound spoke to something within him, & he found great peace & joy in creating it. After some time on the road, Norman met the love of his life, Marcella Tesch, with whom he settled down to raise a family & shared many loving years.
Above all else Norman was devoted family man who always showed up. Whether it was sitting in the stands at every one of his son’s baseball games to cheer him on or a quiet day out with a fishing rod & a tackle box teaching him how to cast, how to be patient, & how to appreciate the quiet moments together on the water. Some of his happiest memories were the ones built around his family.
After the passing of his cherished wife, Marcella in 2008, Norman was blessed to find a second deeply meaningful partnership with his fiancé Patricia Wohl who brought joy, companionship & more children to love in his later years.
Proceeding Norman in death are his parents, Vernon & Goldie Tesch, his wife Marcella Tesch, one grandson Dwayne Tesch, & one great-grandson Michael Tesch.
He is succeeded by his fiancé, Patricia Wohl of Peoria, Illinois, his four children, Tony (Beverly) Tesch of Lacon, Illinois, Dan (Dawn) Begner of Mississippi, Allen Begner of Kewanee, Illinois, & Kim Green of Peoria, Illinois. Also succeeding him are eight grandchildren, Quentin, Sara, Brandy, Dalene, Abe, Adam, Isabella, & Coral, as well as seven great-grandchildren, Deven, Allie, Xander, Serena, Octavia, Michael, & Jacob.
Those who knew Norman will remember his many passions, but even more so, they will remember the love he gave so freely. He was a father who showed up, a teacher who shared what he knew, a musician who followed his heart, & a man who understood that some of life's greatest moments are found in time spent together.
Though his body is gone, his memory will live on in the stories told, the music made, & the love that he so generously shared.
Cremation rites have been accorded to Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel Funeral Home. Condolences may be shared with the family at Davison-Fulton.com.
