She was born Aug. 25, 1932 in Peoria to Ivor and Frieda (Taylor) Brooks. She married Perry Kurtz Johnston in Peoria on Jan. 10, 1959. He preceded her in death in 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Barbara Jean McGarr, and Bernadine Simpson.
She is survived by three sons, Perry K. Jr. of Bartonville, Richard (Lisa) of North Pekin, William of Peoria; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; one brother, Richard (Sharon) Brooks of Hanna City; two sisters, Oral Mae Moore of MO, and Carol Brooks-Denton of Peoria.
Patricia was a member of Paris Avenue Church of Christ in Peoria.
Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2011 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
Memorials may be made to her church.
