Patricia "Pat" Ann Simmons

She was born on November 26, 1936 in Canton to Carl and Clara (Bucher) McDermott. She married Jerome "JR" Simmons on February 7, 1953. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Denny (Loretta) McDermott.

She is survived by her children, Rob Simmons and Steve (Wendy) Simmons; sister, Janis (Keith) Spenny; five grandchildren, Eric (Erin) Simmons, Kate Simmons, Ryan Simmons, Zach (Brooke) Simmons, and Jordan (Shelby) Simmons; and eight great-grandchildren, Parker, Evy, Gabe, Asa, Fiona, Easton, Finley, and one on the way.

Pat enjoyed square dancing, cruising, and was an avid bowler who was a member of several women's leagues and mixed couple leagues. She was a member of Richwoods Fire Department Women's Auxiliary Club and Woodrow Wilson Mothers Club where she served as the president in 1968.

A funeral service for Pat will occur at 11 AM on Thursday, December 22, 2022 with visitation one hour prior at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home, 2408 West Willow Knolls Drive in Peoria. Pastor Steve Weber will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
