Penelope "Pennie" Grimm

Penelope “Pennie” Grimm, 82, of Peoria, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Rosewood Nursing Home in Peoria, IL. She was born September 7, 1934 in Galesburg, IL to Gus and Bessie Margetis. Surviving are her three daughters, Becky (Scott) Jordan of Peoria, Cindy (David) Johnson of Naperville, and Debbie (Karen) Grimm of Peoria; her two brothers, George (Carol) Margetis and Pete (Mary Jo) Margetis, both of Peoria; her grandchildren, Stephen Jordan of Peoria and Jennifer Jordan of Rochester Hills, MI, whom were the joy of her life; and several nieces and nephews. She was employed at George Pasquel Co. for 33 years in various positions retiring in 2002 as Vice President of Sales. Pennie was an avid reader, enjoyed music and theater and loved to travel. She was a member of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church where she taught Sunday school for several years. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Trisagion prayers begin at 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be at 10:00 am Monday, October 31, 2016 at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Ciprian Sas will officiate at all services. Memorials may be made to the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church.
