Phyllis was born on February 26, 1949 in Peoria to Vivia “Jim” and Vivian (Alsip) Cornell. She married Gary Masters on March 17, 1984 in Carterville, IL.
Surviving are her husband, Gary; her daughters, Sheri Guinnee of Creve Coeur and Sara (Scott) Grinslade of Peoria Heights; her grandchildren, Jesse, Herschel, Kody, Breeannah, and Phillip; her great-grandchildren, Leilah and Ross; two brothers, four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Kay.
Phyllis worked for Cilco and was a member of the IBEW in Peoria. She was also a member of ABATE. Phyllis was the family historian; she loved her family and enjoyed their family gatherings.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a private family memorial service will be held at the funeral home. Arrangements were handled through Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Online condolences may be made through www.davison-fulton.com
