Ray was born May 25, 1921 in Peoria, the son of Gomenico & Celestina Zara D'Alfonso. He married Frances Irish. She preceded him in death.
Ray is survived by his two sisters, Jeanette (Ed) Hacker and Betty (Les) Nelson.
He was also preceded in death by his son Raymond Lee D'Alfonso and one brother.
Ray was a truck mechanic by trade. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, St. Jude Council and the VFW. Ray was an United States Army Veteran.
Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in West Peoria.
