He was born on October 19, 1960 in Peoria, IL to the late Robert J. Kallister and Judith (Ball) Heintz.
Randy joined the United States Navy on November 5, 1979. He served 4 years on both the U.S.S. Saratoga and U.S.S. Kennedy and received a Bronze Star during his tour. He was honorably discharged on September 23, 1983.
He was a Painter for RJ Kallister Painting and Decorating and was also a part of the Painters Union Local 157 in Peoria and District Council 58 in St. Louis, MO.
Randy was a wrestler at Manual High School and played drums in the marching band. He was a talented artist and his subject of choice was cars. He loved to fish and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears fan. Randy recently adopted Muttley, his dog and best friend, and loved to spend time with her.
Randy is survived by his children, Joseph A. Kallister and Zachary F. Kallister; his siblings, Susan Kallister, Terri Donahue, and Lorrie (John Henry) Clark; his step mother, Cindy Kallister; his step father, Stephen Heintz; many nieces and nephews; and his long time friend, Chris Whaley.
He is preceded by his parents and his grandparents.
Graveside services at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL are pending.
