

He was born March 31, 1931 in Peoria to Raymond and Marcie (Gearheard) Eyster. He first married Norma Moore Aug., 1953. He later married Marilyn Hartseil May, 1980. She passed away Sep. 21, 2013 in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by one great-granddaughter.
Survivors include four sons: Jay (Kathy) Eyster of Peoria, Jerry (Debbie) Eyster of Peoria, James (Rhonda) Eyster of Gilbert, AZ., Jeffry (Barbara) Eyster of Rochelle, IL, five step-children: Judi Hartseil and Greg (April) Hertseil of Florida, Cheryl (Dennis) Perry of Metamora, Mark Hartseil of Florida, John (Crystal) Hartseil of Washington, IL, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and eight step-grandchildren.
Chuck was a United States Navy veteran.
He was a Civil Engineer last working for Peoria County Highway Dept. retiring in 1993.
He was a member of the Temple Lodge No. 46 A.F.&A.M., Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Peoria, Mohammed Shrine, Royal Order of Jesters and El Zaribah Shrine Phoenix, Az, the Shriners Flying Nobles, , and the Independent Sports Club.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service with Masonic Rites will be Friday Oct. 18, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital or the Temple Lodge 46 scholarship fund.
