

Born April 27, 1930 in Gilchrist, IL to Stanko and Mary (Padovich) Svetich. He married the Love of his life, Dorothy Morrow on May 8, 1976 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are six children, Kevin (Debbie) Svetich, Cindy Svetich, Michelle (George) Hammje, Lisa (Gary) Rock, Stanley Svetich, John Svetich; 5 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret Jackson and Betty (Allan) Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Deborah Svetich; and two brothers, John and Robert.
Stan graduated from Lewistown High School. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran. He was President and owner for several years of S & S Home Improvement Company.
The Lord called him to become Pastor in 1992 and he continued his Pastoral duties at the Living Rock Assembly Church in Peoria Heights until the present. Stan was a very generous and loving person who never met a stranger. He loved and served the Lord with all his heart. Rev. Svetich’s passing has left a huge void in the lives of his family, church family and his friends around the world. His life was dedicated to serving God and he ministered to all.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Living Rock Assembly Church at 1208 E. Duryea Ave. in Peoria Heights (one block West off Prospect) with Rev. Floyd Aldrich from St. Louis officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Entombment will be at Parkview Cemetery Chapel of Peace Mausoleum in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the Living Rock Assembly Church Mission Fund, South Side Mission or Peoria Rescue Mission.
