

He was born Dec. 9, 1954 in Peoria to Glenn and Polly (Chown) Glackin. He married Linda Ross on June 2, 1989 in Davenport, IA. She survives
along with one daughter, Tracy Briggs of Peoria, one son, Tyrus Briggs of Morton, and two grandsons: Dylan Briggs of Peoria and Alexander Briggs of Morton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers: David and Lawrence Glackin. Rick was a Civil Engineer and just completed his 29th year working for the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). He graduated from Bradley University in 1988, was a member
of the Illinois Association of Highway Engineers and was a certified Professional Engineer.
Rick was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and was a member and very active in the Peoria Chiefs Booster Club.
He loved motorcycles and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. He also enjoyed going on cruises down and around the Caribbean.
He was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.Rick was known for wearing one of his Hawaiian shirts from his large collection.
Visitation will be Tuesday March 22, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria.
Cremation rites will take place following the visitation and a celebration of Rick’s life will be at a later date.
