Richard A. “Rich” Lyons, age 78, of Peoria, passed away Saturday Sep. 29, 2012 at 9:00 p.m. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born June 10, 1934 in Peoria to Kenneth and Helen (Kloubcher) Lyons. He married Kathryn Hornsby Sep. 3, 1960 in Peoria. She survives along with two sons: Richard Lyons of Peoria, Jeffrey Lyons of Peoria Heights, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one brother, Charles (Shirley) Lyons of Texas. Rich was a Glazer working out of Local 1164. He loved to fish and was an avid bowler, once bowling a 300 game. Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will take place Friday Oct. 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. A visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Following the services burial will take place in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria with Military Honors.
