Ricky "Smokey" L. Norris

Ricky L. “Smokey” Norris, 55 years old of Peoria, IL passed away at 12:29pm, June 4th, 2012 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. He was born May 2, 1957 in Avon, IL to Pat Branch (Ernie Woodruff) and James Norris (Judy Norris). He married Christina E. Ortega on July 3, 1989 in Houston, MO. Surviving are his wife, his parents, 1 son Chico Ortega, 2 daughters, Elisha and Pablo Ortiz, and Tanna Norris (Marious). 6 grandkids: Madison, Zane, Tyson, Pablo Jr., Aviva and Julian. 5 sisters: Vicki Norris, Patti and Tom Burke, Traci and Chad Gaw, Gayle Woodruff, Crystal and Rick Buehnerkemper. 4 brothers: Jimmy Norris (Terri), Jacky and Cathy Norris, Bryan Woodruff and Frankie and Mindy Jones. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his brother Richie and his father-in-law. His interests were riding his Harley, working on Harleys, bowling, golfing, and playing pool. He was a member of ABATE, and also a Committeeman of Local UAW 974. Cremation will be accorded. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 8th, 2012 at the UAW Hall on Springfield Road in East Peoria from 3pm until 9pm.
