

He was born October 12, 1923 in Oak Park, IL to Dr. George N. and Maygene Fitts Frost. He married Ruth Barbara Kubik Sept 18, 1948 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Dr. James (Kathy) Frost of Dunlap, Dr. John (Dr. Karen) Frost of Okemos, MI, and one daughter, Jean (Dr. Thomas) Wyman of Peoria Heights; six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Bob was a graduate of Coe College, Cedar Rapids, IA, and the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago.
He served four years in the Army Dental Corp in the Philippine Islands, discharged as captain in December of 1946. He was a member of Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity, Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental fraternity, Peoria District Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. He was a member of America Legion Post #2, Illinois Lodge, A.F.& A.M, Peoria Consistory, Mohammed Shrine, and was active in the Peoria Jaycees.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Peoria for over sixty years and served as a board member, usher, choir member, and high school Sunday School teacher. An Eagle Scout, he was active in Peoria area scouting.
Throughout his career and his retirement, Bob blended his skills with a natural ability to educate. He taught dental care practices to nursing students at Methodist School of Nursing. He served as a dentist at the Peoria Health Department after his retirement and in 2000 won the Illinois Public Health Association volunteer award. He was the 1997 WPEO Senior Citizen of the year.
He was among the founders of the Institute for Learning In Retirement at Bradley University and served a term as its chairman of Curriculum Committee. For 15 years, he was instructor in the AARP Driver Safety Program, having taught over 4,000 students.
Bob and the family offer special thanks to Dr Sue Bishop, Ron Galloway, and his lifelong dental assistants Mary Ann Kramer and Lorraine Kramer.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or the Osher Livelong Learning Institute at Bradey University.
Services will be held at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home, 2408 W. Willow Knolls Drive, at 11:00 Saturday, July 28. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, July 27, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
