Robert H. Hansen

Peoria- Robert H. Hansen, age 63, of Hanna City, passed away May 10, 2014 at Unity Point Methodist Hospital in Peoria. Born October 01, 1950 in Peoria, he was a son to the late Fred and Blanche Benn-Atterberry. On September 13, 1986 Robert married Jackie Erdmier in Peoria. He worked for Keystone Steel and Wire for 44 years until his retirement April 1, 2014. Robert was known for ability to fix any and everything. He built his family house, and could always be seen tinkering in the yard and garden with his dog T. Robert was a great cook and wine maker who in his free time enjoyed fishing. He will always be remembered as a hard and dedicated worker who was always smiling and loved playing jokes on his family and friends. Survivors include his wife Jackie Hansen of Hanna City; three children: Andrea Sears of Hanna City, Brandy (Troy) Skaggs of Hanna City, and  Robert (Autumn) Hansen of Alabama; four grandchildren and one sister Beverly (Mark) Proud of Hanna City. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons: Jeramie Sears and Jeff Leathers. Visitation will be held Thursday May 15, 2014 from 9:00 AM until time of funeral service at 10:00 AM at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, 2021 North University, in Peoria. Burial will follow in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made in Robert’s name to the family for distribution to a charity of their choice.
