I am saddened after reading this morning about Bob's passing. It is now 11/11/2017 andI was bragging to a friend about my old boss back when he bought Vindee Industries and the chances Bob gave me when I was working for Bob in the early 80s, late 70s. I loved him and his family and they were always kind to me. I left Illinois to move to Florida in 84 when he threw me a party and I have always thought about him and his family. To Sharon and all of his loved ones and family I am grieved to hear about this and my prayers are with you all. I thank God I met this man and his family.

Bob and Sherry took me to see Ghostbusters (one of my all time favorites) when I was visiting with them years ago. They were always game for fun, and I cannot think of those movies (Star Wars also) without feeling love for my sister and brother-in-law. We went to amusement parks, out for pizza, on walks up great hills... And so much more. I remember years ago, when I was about to house and dog sit for them, they made sure the freezer and cupboards were loaded with food and treats while they were gone. I had such a wonderful stay. They truly gave me some of the most memorable and fun experiences of my life. Bob was always welcoming to Sherry's sisters. I am so sorry that I did not get to say good-bye to him; I miss his great smile, and his great enthusiasm for life. I send Sherry and kids my love, and deepest sympathy for their loss.

I was so sad to hear of my nephew, Bobby, passing away. I have been remembering when he was a small boy and would visit us on the farm in Madonnaville with my sister Ardelle. He put a lot of smiles on our faces then and throughout his life. He was very special. My family and I are very sorry for your loss. Love, Aunt Sally Smith and family

Dear Sharon and the McCarthy's; i am so sorry about this sudden passing of Bob and hope You and the Family are holding together. You are a very strong person Sharon, to be handling everything that You are. Bob seemed like someone who was going to live forever! You and Him have kept many of us employed over the years and many of us employed for many years. It has been a big hole at Vindee this week, coming to work and feeling like Bob is still sitting in the office. His absence has never been felt this strong before and i think many of us employees never knew how much we would miss Him! i hope that You and all of us are able to keep Vindee going and You have my support in that, despite the void we all feel without Bob. He will always be a huge part of Vindee and an ever lasting memory for us all! Rest In Peace Bob and Thank You for all You've done Friend! - j.o.

Sherri Pat and I were so shocked and sad when we heard of Robert's passing. Only knew him through our relationship at Dora Mountain Vistas. He helped our dream come true to own land in Colorado and he always seemed genuinely interested in our progress. It was more than a business deal to him! We will miss seeing him. He was one of those persons who brightened up the room with his presence. Paul and Sherri Pat Rothwell, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
