He was born December 28, 1942 in Canton, IL to George H. and Shirley (Mason) Keefauver. He married Beverly Gilmore June 13, 1965 in Cuba, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are their two daughters, Molly (Shawn) Craig of Benson, IL and Emily (Jon) Guderjan of Frankfort, IL; five grandchildren, Gage, Hope, Reece, Halle, and Kate; one brother, Phillip (Ann) Keefauver of Colchester, IL; a nephew, Todd (Cathy) Keefauver and a niece-in-law, Lisa Keefauver.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Eric Keefauver.
Roger earned his Civil Engineering Degree from Bradley University and received the Outstanding Alumnus Award in 2005. After graduation, he was part-owner of KH&M Engineering for many years and later served as Chairman of the Board with Clark Engineering until he retired.
Roger was a member of Arrowhead Country Club, where he enjoyed his time with his golfing and poker buddies. He even had three hole in ones. Roger loved traveling to Northern Wisconsin and Gulf Shores, AL. Most of all, he treasured his time with his wife, kids and grandchildren. He lived by his motto, “don’t sweat the small stuff....and it’s all small stuff”.
Cremation will be accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
