He was born January 11, 1923 in Bartonville to Nicholas and Eula (Crider) Trapp. He married Paula (Allen) on November 19, 1955 in Peoria. She preceded him in death on December 10, 2004 in Peoria.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother Russell.
Surviving are two daughters Patti Trapp and Kim Trapp both of Rock Island; one grandson Brittan (fiancé Bethene’) and one sister Mary Anna Lee Trapp of Peoria.
Roland was a WWII Army veteran and a member of the Limestone American Legion Post #979.
Roland retired from NuTone Inc. after 30 years of service. After retirement Roland and Paula owned and operated The Stamp Pad.
Roland was a member of St. Philomena’s Catholic Church where a funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday February 6, 2013. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Burial will be in St. Dominic Cemetery in Wyoming, IL.
