

He was born on July 23, 1939 in Peoria, IL to Noah T. and Lorraine S. (Sutter) Herman. He married Mary Ann Suttor on October 26, 1962 in Morton, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving is his wife, Mary Ann Herman of Morton, six children, Julie Herman of Orlando, Fl; Ronnie Noah Herman of Peoria; Amy (Brandon) Carroll of Mapleton; Joshua (Dayna) Herman of Carol Stream; Michael Herman of East Peoria, IL and Nicole Herman of Nashville, TN. Also surviving are three grandsons, Noah and Seth Herman and Jackson Carroll, eight siblings, Doris (Jim) Wenninger of Morton, Howard (Nancy) Herman of Peoria, Phyllis Lang of Tremont, Lou Ann (Jim) Funk of East Peoria, Gloria (Don) Bauer of Tucson, AZ, Mary (Dave) Ginzel of Peoria, Allan (Lois) Herman of Peoria and Laurie Jo Herman of Washington State.
Ron began working with his father’s business, Noah Herman and Sons, repairing and remodeling homes until becoming a carpenter. He founded his own companies, RonWay Realty and RonWay Builders, serving as a general contractor for residential construction. Ron then moved into Real Estate investments with the Joseph Company and worked last as a Stock Broker with Morgan Stanley, retiring in 2004. Ron envisioned and spearheaded the financing for many Peoria area developments, such as Tomar Knolls, Longwood subdivision, Old Orchard development, Junction Oaks and Hollow Creek Apartment Complexes.
He was a member of The Gideon’s International; he was an adult Sunday School Teacher at Mt. Olive Missionary Church where he once attended. He was avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer and was a member of the Peoria Home Builders Association; the National Realtor’s Association and was currently attending Apostolic Christian Church of Peoria.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 4 to 8 pm at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. A funeral service will be on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 10:00 am, with visitation from 9:00 to 9:45 am at the Apostolic Christian Church of Peoria, with Church Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Apostolic Church Cemetery near Edwards.
