She was born October 3, 1919 in Silvis, a daughter of Benjamin and Hazel Woods DeNess. She married Roy Dean Holloway on April 27, 1946.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years; three nephews, Ron, Allan, and Dean Carlson; one niece Virginia Knootz; and one brother, Ben DeNess.
She was preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law, Stella and Coyt Carlson, and one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Nancy DeNess.
Rose was a member of Riverchase Presbyterian Church. She was also an avid golfer enjoying many happy years with her friends at Vestavia Country Club.
Cremation rites are accorded. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
