Rosetta C. Crump Hearn

Rosetta C. Hearn, 88, of Peoria, IL passed away Monday November 15, 2010 at Belwood Nursing Home in Peoria. Rosetta was born November 19, 1921 in Wright City, OK to John and Donia Benson Crump. She later married Arnee Hearn on February 18, 1940 in Clarksville, TX. Arnee preceded her in death on July 19, 1994 in Paris, TX.

Surviving are her two daughters; Velma Allen of Peoria, IL and Esther Hearn of Peoria, IL, five sons; Waymon (Linda) Hearn of St. Augustine, FL, Emmet Hearn of Corona, CA, Clenzell (Susan) Hearn of Peoria, IL, Travis (April) Hearn of Irvin, TX, and Ardean (Tracy) Hearn of Lancaster, TX, twenty seven grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Rosetta was also preceded in death by her two sons; Rueben and Curtis Hearn and her brother Herman Crump.

While living in Texas, Rosetta was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and an original member of New Hope Baptist Church in Detroit, TX. Here in Peoria, Rosetta was a member of the Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the church’s Mother’s Board.

Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday November 20, 2010 at Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Simon J. Holly, Jr. will officiate. Visitation will one hour prior to services at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Burial of ashes will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Detroit, TX.
