

Ross E. Cantor, 53, of East Peoria, IL, passed away at home on July 2, 2014 surrounded by his family and friends. Ross was born August 12, 1960 in Peoria, IL, the son of Mort and Val Cantor. His father, Mort, preceded him in death. Ross is survived by his wife, Susan (Hosbrough), whom he married, October, 16th 2010. Ross is also survived by his mother, Val of Peoria; One brother, Steven (and Beth DeSantis) of Scottsdale, AZ; two sisters, Lisa (and Frank Bussone) of Washington, IL; Julie (and Tim) Cox of East Peoria; Five nephews, Travis, Ryan, Adam and Matthew Cox of East Peoria; Carson Wright of Washington; One niece, Taylor Wright of Washington; One great niece, Sophia; Brother in law, Joe Wright of Washington. Ross graduated from Richwoods High School in 1978. He worked at Illinois Furniture for 23 years, as Warehouse Manager and most recently at American Furniture. Ross was a loving husband and son, a dedicated brother, proud uncle and devoted friend. He loved gardening/horticulture, animals, camping, being outdoors and spending time with his adoring wife, canine companion Aspen, close family and wonderful friends. He was a past member of Congregation Agudas Achim and Anshai Emeth and served a high honor, as a Shomer for the Chevra Kadisha. A funeral services will be held at 2pm Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, 2021 N. University St. in Peoria. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral. Burial will immediately follow at Peoria Hebrew Cemetery, 2807 W Heading Ave, West Peoria, IL.
