Mr. Russell Skip C. Foster

He was born on September 19, 1939 in Peoria, a son of Russell Charles Scott and Esther and John Foster. He married Patricia K. Vermillion on January 21, 1978 in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are six children, Dane R. Foster of Peoria, Keli K. Foster of Peoria, Stacey Flerl of TN, John (Vicki) Spencer of TN, Teresa Allen of MO, and Ralph Spencer of GA; one sister, Valerie (Jerry) Hornbacker of Peoria; and eight grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother.

He was a U.S. Army and National Guard veteran.

Russell worked as a manager for the American Legion Post 979 in Bartonville where he was a member, and was also self-employed as a carpenter.

He was a member of West Bluff Christian Church in West Peoria.

He was active with the Limestone Little League in Bartonville and enjoyed bowling and watching the Chicago Cubs.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Mortuary. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
