Ruth Ann Anderson

Born February 25, 1939 at home in Puxico, MO to Leslie and Beulah (Archer Lee; she married Clark Anderson on September 22, 1961 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria.

Surviving are her children, Clark (Lois) Anderson II of Dunlap and Leigh Anderson of Peoria; granddaughters, Kayleigh (Marc) Spyker and Kelsey Anderson; and great granddaughters, Layla, Isabella and Daisy Spyker.

Preceding in death were her husband; brother, Leslie; sisters, Betty, Lois and Monica; and her best friend, Betty Volturno.

Ruth was a teacher aide with Peoria Public Schools District 150 for many years.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Aid Association for Lutherans and several book clubs. She enjoyed reading, gardening and traveling.

Ruth loved her grandchildren very much.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria with visitation 9:00-9:45 AM prior to the service. The Rev. Mark Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
