

She was born Nov. 11, 1932 in Peoria, IL to Thomas J. and Ida (Fowler) Potter. She married Deane H. Davis June 6, 1953. He preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 1995. She later married David A. Ekstrand in Peoria on Sept. 21, 1996. He survives.
Also surviving are her son, Todd Davis of Peoria; daughter, Rev. Susan (Rev. Forrest) Davis-Krummel of Peoria; two granddaughters, Katherine (Matt) Degner of Williamsburg, IA, Anni Krummel of Chicago; step daughter, Melissa (Greg) Weyeneth of Dunlap; step son, David R. (AnnaLee) Ekstrand of Belleville; two step granddaughters, Kathryn Weyeneth, Amanda Ekstrand; and three great grandchildren, Jack, Liz Degner, and Ahmad Mayfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, one sister, and her first husband.
Sally graduated from Peoria High School in 1950. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Bradley University. She was partners with her first husband in the Davis Insurance Agency for a number of years and was a teacher at Sipp School, Rolling Acres, Spartan, Kelly Grade School, Monroe Avenue Grade School, and retired from Peoria Heights High School. She was an Elder and Commissioned Lay Pastor in the Presbyterian Church. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Peoria, and a member of First Federated Church in Peoria.
Memorial Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, 2010 at First Federated Church in Peoria with Rev. Forrest Krummel, Rev. Daren Hofmann, and Debbie Howard officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Private burial will be at Smithville Cemetery in Smithville.
