Sheryl was born November 24, 1937 in Finger, TN to William Odeus and Lue Vady (Harris) Barton.
She is survived by her children,, Brenda Dark of Carmel, IN and Gary R. (Stacey) Dark of Leesburg, FL; four grandchildren, Ryan (Stephanie Hess) Hickman, Amy (Matthew) Vadovic, Amber Dark, Brittany (Jon) Spradlin, Tiffany (Ryan) Gates and Chris Hayes; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four siblings, Joyce Wallace of Peoria, Bart (Bev) Hollingsworth of Washington, Lenay (Lloyd) Gunter of Peoria, and Dennis (Sharon) Barton of Athens, AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Randy Eytcheson, and an infant brother, William Odeus Leon Barton.
Sheryl worked with Ford Motor Credit for 31 years before retiring. She enjoyed collecting recipes, cooking, antiquing, and shopping. Sheryl was active in her church and strong in her faith.
A funeral service will be at 2 pm on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
