My deepest heart felt sympathy goes to all who knew Sam.

I have worked with Sam for over 20 years and I miss him every day that I am at work and then I think of him often.

I could always rely on Sam to help out whenever needed. And he would do it so with a smile.

May you Rest with God in Peace now.

This was a very kind and friendly guy. When my daughter had surgery on her leg, he helped her through the process. We will never forget him. I see why he was so well loved. I got to know Sam through working at Unity Point Methodist.  He was always  a positive force and had a smile for everyone.  His sudden passing has shocked us all.  We will miss him.

My deepest sympothy goes out to Sam's family. I worked in Preop and Recovery several yrs ago and had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a great person!

My heart goes out to Sam's family and close friends.  Sam always entered a room with his smile first... working in the ER I didn't have the opportunity to know Sam very well, but just seeing his smile always brightened my day. He always had a cheerful, courteous and warm manner.

Every memory I have of Sam includes smiles and laughter. Though I only started working with him within the last year, I still knew who Sam was from working throughout the hospital in past years. He had such a positive impact on the patients he came in contact with, as well as all of Unity Point Health - Methodist staff! Rest in peace, friend. I was a fellow second shifter with Sam at Methodist - he was such the joker, and he helped brighten any day. He always had me laughing when I saw him in the cafeteria or in the hallway before or after work. He was also one of my brother's regular fishing customers first at Gander Mountain and then later Bass Pro Shop. When Sam went in there, he would fill my little brother in on the latest practical joke Sam had pulled on me at work, and they would both have a good laugh. 

To Sam's family - I am so sorry for your loss - he will be so very missed!

Sam always made me smile. He never stopped smiling! I worked at the hospital with Sam, he was what Methodist exemplifies. He will not be forgotten!  Rest Sammy and know your job is done and done well!

I remember when Sam first came to this country and knew very little English. I was the first person he worked with at Krogers, showing him the ropes. We had some good times then and became good friends. Later, after our careers took us elsewhere, we reconnected through Facebook. Then, after my mother had a stroke, Sam would stop by her room almost daily and we got to reminisce about the good old days. Sam was a remarkable person and will surely be missed by all that knew him.

Sam will be missed @ Unity Point Methodist.  I so enjoyed his banter and his friendly nature.  He was such a great co worker.  I will cherish his memory.

I am still beside myself because it has been only two years since my parents passed. When I found out that Sam had passed I felt my heart jump to my feet. Sam you will be so missed and I know for a fact that you and my parents are having a good time. My parents thought the world of you. You also taught me so much and I never forgot. Sam will be missed by so many people! He had a way if lighting up a room and making everyone smile. I am happy to have met him and cherish the good memories that he brought me. I will miss him dearly.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Sam at Methodist Hospital's surgery department. I was on the open heart surgery team, and got to know Sam by working with him side by side. He was always working hard and constantly had a smile on his face. You couldn't help but smile when you were around him. I consider myself privileged to have called him my friend.

Sorry to hear of Sams passing.I've known Sam for years thru Methodist.He was a very nice man.

Sam was such a fine person & a true gentleman.  He always helped out where & when needed. He always put patients at ease prior to surgery. He was a true gem and will be missed by many. So sorry for the families loss....
