

He was born Feb. 6, 1945 in Peoria to Caleb and Betty Jane (Chapman) Harr. He married Cissie “Sis” Williams July 25, 1964 in Peoria. She survives along with two sons: Tim (Kara) Harr of East Peoria, Todd (Catrina) Harr of Lithia, FL, eight grandchildren: Samantha, Ross, Ellie, Emilia, Caleb, Alexis, Camille, one great-grandson: Brock, two brothers: David K. (Susan) Harr of East Peoria, Charlie (Nina) Harr of Creve Coeur, and three sisters: Elizabeth Harr of East Peoria, Terry (Don) Combee of Lakeland, FL, and Debbie (Ed) Stanley of East Peoria, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John Harr, and one granddaughter, Tiffany Jones.
Stan was a United States Marine with the 3rd Marine Division serving in Vietnam. He then worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 34 years as a Service Information Engineer, retiring in 2008.
He was a member of the “Fourever 4s” Ford Model A Car Club, the Peoria Invitational Racing Pigeon Club, Woodruff High School Booster Club and Band Parents. For many years, he was a little league coach and an Assistant Scoutmaster of BSA Troop 140. He faithfully attended Harvest Bible Chapel Peoria.
He loved working on antique cars, music, and most of all he treasured his family and time spent with his grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday Oct. 16, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Funeral services will be Saturday Oct. 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Harvest Bible Chapel Peoria at 401 Cimmeron Dr. East Peoria. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church.
Burial will be at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Peoria with Military Honors.
Memorial may be made to the Harvest Bible Chapel.
